About Me
I am an undergraduate student at the washington-university">George washington-university">Washington University. I am a freshman in the Business School and will be majoring in Business Administration with a double concentration in International Business and Marketing. I am an Ambassador for GW Women in Business, and a blog writer for the Pre Law Student Association. My future career goal is to make a difference in the world through business, and to one day create my own social entrepreneurship venture.
Im high school, my guidance counselor approached me to washington-dc">tutor other high school students during my lunch/study break daily. I was happy to have this opportunity and help my fellow students succeed in school as much as I could. I helped several students in a wide range of subjects such as Biology, English, and Math. I also helped the students become more organized and aware of the importance of keeping up with their work.
I also have worked at a daycare with students ranging from ages 3- 7. The job required me to not only take care and feed the children, but keep them academically engaged. This job has opened my eyes for my love of working with children. I loved to see them grow and learn as activities progressed throughout my time at the Clifton Little School.
I believe that a washington-dc">tutor should not be hired to do the work for their customers, but to help them learn the material and guide them to finding the write answer on their own. It is important for the student to feel confident and secure while working with the washington-dc">tutor, and it needs to be a comfortable environment for the student to work in. While working with students, I find that it is important to encourage them throughout the entire process and to work consistently until they reach their goals.
