About Me

My name is James Arnold, and I am a senior at New York University. I have a GPA of 3.9 with a major in Classical Languages (Greek and Latin) and a minor in Business Studies. After I graduate, I plan on teaching for a few years before going to law school.

As a tutor, I have experience with all ages, from high school seniors to pre-schoolers. However, most of my experience has been teaching Latin and Writing to High School and Middle School students, and then working on reading skills with preschoolers. I have tutored Latin for over three years, and I have experience with preschoolers for nine months.

My tutoring philosophy is that practice makes perfect. I try to design as many problems as I can in order to present the information in as many different ways as possible so that my students get the best and most complete picture of the subject. I think that a very slow, methodical approach combined with explanations and reinforced with practice is the best way to learn anything.
