About Me
I am a 4th-year student and Mathematics major with an emphasis on Finance and Economics at houston">the houston">University of Houston. I hope to study Applied Mathematics at the graduate level in the near future.
Experience
I have served as a Calculus 1 TA in the past and am currently a Peer Facilitator for Calculus 1 as well. Responsibilities include holding recitations and workshops for the students that are in need of extra assistance. This assistance comes in the form of working though selected problems from homework as well as practice exams and quizzes. I have also worked at a math tutoring center, helping students from grade school up to high school.
Approach
I believe that a deep understanding of theory and proofs are required to truly master mathematics, so I like to incorporate those ideas into my tutoring. I go at a slow pace and skip no details when I introduce new material so that students know exactly where every application comes from.
