Fun Facts

I lived in three continents in my life. When I was little, I used to enjoy singing and dancing. I like to engage kids by giving them different activities. I like drawing, painting, hand crafts and planting a garden. I like nature and enjoy watching sunrise and sunset. I also enjoy playing chess with my family, this is a game I have enjoyed since I was little. I'm not the best with English but when it comes to math, you can leave it to me.

About Me

I grew up in India and studied to become software engineer. I am a stay at home mom who enjoy teaching math. I have two kids, my daughter is 15 years and son is 9 years. I teach them math when they need it and show them how math is used in our daily life. I love spending time with my kids and have always loved teaching. It makes me so happy to see a kid's face light up when they understand something for the first time.

Experience

I have five years of experience teaching math in US. I have got good experience with kids of grades 2nd-12th. I have even taught kids who are preparing for tests like SAT/ACT math. I helped kids in doing their home work as well as for school tests year long until they finished their final exams. As each kid is different there are different teaching methods which I use to make sure kids understand easily. Many of my students have shown significant improvements after joining my sessions.

Approach

First I learn the topics they are learning in school and what they would like to understand better. To help them understand, I take example problems, either from their home works or from online and ask simple step-by-step questions to make sure the kids are always alert in the class. This is also to make sure they are following what I am saying and understand completely before moving on to the next step or topic.
