Fun Facts
I have a wide variety of hobbies. I am born and raised in Austin and as a result, I love the outdoors. My favorite outdoor activities include biking, kayaking, hiking, and swimming. In my free time, I enjoy sitting down with a good book while listening to music. I also love to travel and from my experiences have grown to love learning about the various cultures of the world.
About Me
I am an undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Dallas and am currently studying as a honors Biochemistry major. I have been on the Dean's List and am an A student. When I graduate, I hope to either pursue a career in Bioethical Law or work for either the CDC or the UN. I love to learn new things and love to challenge myself. I have great communication skills and strive to make each of my students successful and offer them my commitment to helping them succeed.
Experience
I have nearly 6 years of experience tutoring. While in high school, I was very active in the Mu Alpha Theta, a math honors program, where volunteered as a peer tutor. In addition, I have worked and volunteered at Kumon for 6 years, and during my time working there, I taught all levels of Math and English to students. Working for Frog Tutoring is giving me the opportunity to spread my love for education and help students achieve their goals.
Approach
I worked at Kumon for almost 6 years and the methods of teaching I learned while working there have largely influenced how I approach my job. A main component of my tutoring style is that it is tailored to meet the needs of the students I work with. I typically observe my students and have a conversation with either them or their parents about strengths and weaknesses that they would like addressed. From there, I work to help the student build their confidence in the subject and thrive.

Biochemistry
Spanish I Tutoring
I have taken this course in college and am currently pursuing a Spanish minor. I received an "A+" in the course and actively tutored for this course in high school.
Spanish II Tutoring
I have taken this course in both high school and college. On both occasions, I earned the highest possible letter grade in the class. I have experience tutoring in this course in high school and often helped peers.
Chemistry II Tutoring
I took this course my first semester at UTD and received an "A" in the class. During the course, I actively helped my peers with the material and have helped students studying Chemistry I as well.
Algebra Tutoring
I began tutoring Algebra my sophomore year of high school as I was part of Mu Alpha Theta, a math honor society. In addition, I frequently taught this subject while I worked at Kumon.
American Sign Language Tutoring
While in high school, I took 3 years of ASL and in each class I earned A's. I was also a member of the American Sign Language Honor Society at my school for my superior grades in the class. I also actively helped peers and did voluntary peer tutoring.
Biology AP Tutoring
I took this class my junior year and did well. I also frequently helped peers and volunteered my time to do so.
English Tutoring
Throughout high school, I took all AP and pre-AP level English classes. I earned A's in both AP English 3 & 4 and often helped peers with their essays.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
I took this class while in middle school, but have a lot of experience tutoring in this subject as I frequently worked with kids at Kumon on this subject. I did very well in the course when I took it and have helped a number peers in high school with these concepts while peer tutoring.
Spanish III Tutoring
I took this class in high school and earned an A. I did 4 years of high school Spanish and also got a 4 on my AP Spanish 4 exam. I also frequently helped peers with Spanish during high school.
Study Skills Tutoring
I have many years of experience helping students improve their study habits and have spent many hours developing a set of tips to better student's performance in classes. My work at Kumon has given me much insight in how to help students organize, plan, and study efficiently.
Writing Tutoring
I have taken Rhetoric and writing courses in both high school and always earned A's in the courses. I also peer tutored for the subject in high school and have helped peers in writing academic essays and in creative writing classes.
AP English Tutoring
I took 2 years of AP English in high school. During both courses, I excelled in all the multiple choice and essay assignments. I also often helped peers with their essays and other assignments we had.
Biology Tutoring
I took this course freshman year of high school, however, I also went on to take AP Biology and do well in the class. I have tutored for this subject in the past few years and actively volunteered time to help peers.
Chemistry Tutoring
I took this class my sophomore year of high school and went on to take AP Chem as well. I did well in both classes and while in the AP level course, I frequently helped peers in the pre-AP level class.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I have a lot of experience working with students on homework and the skills needed to do well in their classes. Most of my experience with this comes from the 5 years I worked at Kumon and actively helped students.
Elementary Math Tutoring
I have a lot of experience working with elementary students from working at Kumon. Aside from my job at Kumon, I have also tutored many other students in elementary level math classes.
