Fun Facts
A fun fact about me is that I am originally from Wilmington, North Carolina. I also enjoy backpacking, reading, and playing/learning new instruments.
About Me
I am a junior at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, majoring in Biology. I am both in the International Lloyd Honors College and in the Disciplinary Honors college. I hope to graduate with a Bachelors of Science in May 2021. When I graduate I hope to get into medical school and become a Medical Researcher.
Experience
I am a currently employed as a Supplemental Instructional Program Leader at my university, which is dedicated to giving students the opportunity to learn study skills and engage in active learning.
Although I unfortunately do not have the time to major in these instruments, I have been playing the cello for nine years and the piano for eleven years. I have won multiple district and regional contexts for piano, and I performed in the Eastern Regional String Orchestra for the cello.
Approach
Through my own experiences, I have realized that learning is 20% skill and 80% effort. My personal approach is to create an environment where students are passionate and excited about the subject. By giving them the tools to engage in active learning, my goal for my students is for them to eventually be able to learn and study independently.

Biology
Writing Tutoring
I have taken multiple Latin classes both in high school and in college. This gives me a strong background in grammar and spelling. Also, part of my degree requires strong writing skills to write research papers.
Biology II Tutoring
I received an A in Introduction of Biology Concepts 2 at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and also was the SIP leader for the class during the Spring 2019 semester.
Cello Tutoring
I have played the cello for nine years. I was part of the Wilmington Youth Symphony from 2015-2017. I also performed with the Eastern Regional String Orchestra in 2017. I would be able to tutor beginner and intermediate players.

I have been playing piano for eleven years. I have won multiples district and regional contests. I would be able to tutor beginner and intermediate players.
