Fun Facts
In high school, I was a cheerleader and Homecoming Queen! What this says about me is that I am a sociable person and I always have everyone's best interest in mind. I love to laugh and smile (my friends and family tell me that I'm very funny and have a great sense of humor). Some of my favorite things to do is spending time with friends and family and doing fun activities like dancing, karaoke, bowling, swimming, skating, and going to museums/parks.
About Me
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from the Pennsylvania State University in 2016 and moved to New York City shortly after to start my doctoral program. Currently, I am a third year, soon to be 4th year, graduate student studying clinical psychology at St. John's University. I specialize in working with children and their families.
Experience
Growing up, I used to be a cheerleading coach with a youth organization in Pittsburgh. That experience taught me how to become a mentor to others, which was also the start of my journey in pursuing a career in psychology. I also have experience tutoring classmates in college in psychology courses/subjects and philosophy. I was also a Resident Assistant and Peer Leader in college for 2 years, so I was always an accessible and available resource to my peers.
Approach
My approach is similar to my role as a therapist; I assist you with tools to help you get to that conclusion. Think of me as your GPS; I guide you to your destination. In this case, I will help guide you to meet your goals! I also believe that a multi-systemic approach to everything is the best for a child's environment to enhance learning and self-efficacy.
