Fun Facts

Growing up, I was the only boy in a family with four older sisters. If I can get through that, I can get you through your class course. Also, I have an unhealthy addiction to Chipotle.

About Me

I am a 2017 UCLA grad with a B.A. in Latin. While I thoroughly enjoyed the subject and was able to earn a 3.725 GPA for my Latin courses (including 2 graduate courses on transcribing/translating old European manuscripts from 900-1500 A.D. and advanced Latin composition), my main passion is medicine. I will be applying to medical schools very soon and, one day, hope to become a medical oncologist.

Experience

I have had the privilege of guiding middle school, high school, and college students through their courses, including Latin, Biochemistry, and Chemistry, over the last 2-3 years both in-person at UCLA and in the Los Angeles area, and online between California, Arizona, Boston, and China. I am very happy to have seen many students progress from the D+/C- range to the B+/A range. While my degree was in Latin, I completed all pre-med math/sciences courses plus extra biochem courses while at UCLA.

Approach

My approach to tutoring is based on a given student's current skill set for the subject of interest. First, I obtain an understanding of their foundational skills through diagnostic testing, then I work with them to build up from where they are currently at. I understand that different students have different needs, and I'm always more than willing to adapt to them.
