Fun Facts

I enjoy having a healthy work-life balance. For me, this includes taking an early evening run, a weekend walk in the park, and a Friday night binge on my favorite television shows. I love spending time with family and friends and enjoying the summer and springs in Atlanta, Ga.

About Me

I am a communications instructor and PhD candidate at Georgia State University. I graduated from the University of Florida in 2010 with a Bachelor in Journalism and recently graduated from the same university with a Masters in Business Administration.

Experience

I have more than 5 years of experience in tutoring college, secondary, and primary school students in writing, reading, and math. My writing experience includes jobs as a contributing writer at two newspapers. I am a published author. In addition, I am a freelance resume and business plan writer. I enjoy teaching students the basics of writing convention, how to organize papers, understand grammar rules, and release their own visions and thoughts on paper or, even better, Microsoft Word. Approach

In my experience as I tutor, I have found that patience and positive encouragement is necessary for continuous motivation of students from all age and grade levels. My focus in tutoring is to provide students critical thinking approaches that allow students to complete their work at a high level and also use what they learn to help them in life outside of class.
