I love to sing and write. I am originally from Birmingham, Alabama and have lived in Atlanta, GA, Washington, DC as well as Long Island, NY for part of my childhood. I have five siblings. I love spending time outdoors on a warm spring or summer day!
About Me
I recently began my own consulting business after receiving my doctorate in Public Health from the University of Georgia. I received my Master of Public Health from Emory University, and my B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from Birmingham-Southern College. I am enjoying entrepreneurship and want to inspire others to pursue and achieve their educational and career goals.
Experience
I have taught from elementary level Spanish to college level public health. I enjoy assisting students in meeting their educational goals in a variety of subjects in which I have experience and education including advanced math, Spanish grammar and vocabulary, writing, reading, and executive functioning/studying skills. I've taught in private, public, Montessori school and university settings.
Approach
I enjoy interactive learning in my tutoring through, primarily, ensuring all students feel validated and confident to reach their highest potential in whatever they are pursuing. After observing learning styles, I implement lessons accordingly, progressively building in material covered and difficulty level as we continue in sessions. I strongly advocate teaching students the skills to retain and apply material we cover in our sessions.

PhdSpanish I Tutoring
I received over 8 years of Spanish education (4 years high school, 4+ years in college and graduate school) and received a minor in Spanish. I was chosen to be in the Phi Sigma Iota International Foreign Language society by my college faculty. I also was awarded a Global Field Experience award to work as an intern at the National Institute for Public Health in Cuernavaca, Mexico while receiving my Master of Public Health degree at Emory University. I have taught Spanish to students from toddler age in the private, Montessori setting to college level Spanish, most recently, at a local Science Technology Engineering and Math school.

I received over 8 years of Spanish education (4 years high school, 4+ years in college and graduate school) and received a minor in Spanish.
