Fun Facts
Two fun facts about me include travel and dance. I have lived or traveled in well over fifty different countries. My most memorable adventures include flying in a hot air balloon over the temples in Bagan, Myanmar and climbing Adam's Peak in Sri Lanka. I am not a very good dancer but I am enthusiastic. My next dance challenge is to learn the Foxtrot and the Night Club Two Step. I also like reading, hanging out with my friends and family and watching Formula 1 Racing. Someday I might drive one.
About Me
I am a retired, licensed, high school science teacher who has spent about ten years working in high schools for the Bureau of Indian Education, has spent about two years working for Peace Corps as a high school science and math teacher in Guyana, South America ,and has spent about one year in Egypt teaching in at an American School. I now live in Albuquerque, New Mexico with my wife, near our grandchildren and am looking for opportunities that continue to allow me to interact with students.
Experience
During the years, I have worked with many students from very diverse backgrounds. My students lived in various Countries throughout the world and in Native American Indian Reservations in New Mexico and Arizona. More recently, I tutored high school and middle school students who needed a little help and an adult trying to pass her HESI Test. In all cases I was able to explain complex topics in a clear and concise manner. My areas of specialty are chemisty, biology and reading comprehension.
Approach
I am a retired math and science high school teacher and have been tutoring for over two years. I have worked with over fifty students preparing to take their HESI or TEAS Tests and about 75% of these students have received scores that met the requirements of their chosen school. I have provided these students with practice tests, written study materials and links to videos which I used while in the classroom and which are at the level needed to master the topics on the test. I completed four years of College Level Chemistry and have taught Chemistry on and off for about twelve years.
Business Tutoring

Biology gives you a window to see how life on our big beautiful plant works. The two most important things to look at are photosynthesis and genetics. I can help you understand both of these processes and more.

When I was in high school and college, Chemistry was always my favorite subject. I enjoyed mastering the various rules and formulae. I can help you do the same.
