Fun Facts

One of my passions is fitness and working out. I am certified to teach 3 group fitness classes. I enjoy how it makes me feel each day and how it calms me down if I have had a very stressful day. I love music and dancing and I do not do either professionally, I love to always play music and if its music that I love, I will often dance to that music as well. I have 1 daughter that will be starting her second year of high school in the fall as well as 2 dogs who I love as my babies. I love to cook.

About Me

I will be going into my 14th year of teaching in August where I will continue as a Kindergarten teacher. This will be my second year in the Fulton County School district as the majority of my teaching career has been spent in Upstate New York where I have been a substitute teacher, and a early elementary teacher with a few years in Kindergarten and the majority of my years in first grade. I have a passion for working with younger students and will continue next year in Kindergarten as well.

Experience

I have prior experience tutoring students. I have worked with students in a one-on-one setting as well as a small group after school session as well. The main focus of these tutoring sessions was to help the students that were struggling or below grade level to give them extra practice and help in areas they were struggling in and give them the skills they needed to be successful in the classroom. I hope to bring the same things to the students that need the extra support at frog tutoring.

Approach

I always struggled in school especially when it came time to take tests and quizzes. I worked very hard, always showed up for classes and did all of my work but I never felt smart, or confident in the work that I was doing. As a tutor, I want to show my students what it is like to have confidence and know that they can work hard and can achieve anything they set their minds to. I want them to have the confidence that never had and apply that to not only the classroom but outside as well.
