About Me
I graduated from wayne-state-university">Wayne State University with a Bachelors degree in Honors English. Currently I am preparing to enter graduate school in Speech and Language Pathology. I also spent time volunteering at Speech and Language Pathology clinics to gain a better understanding of the field. My career goal is to open my own SLP clinic and provide services for children and adults with speech and language disorders.
I spent two years as a Polish teacher to children whose primary language is English. We covered topics from Polish literature, history, music, art and of course the language itself. I also spent time detroit">tutoring children in basic subjects during my time as a member of the American Medical Student Association. My other detroit">tutoring experience comes from detroit">tutoring friends in high school in subjects of English and sciences. I have also worked at translating offices for Polish speakers.
I believe it is very important to have a good working space and organization when it comes to studying and preparing for exams and assignments. A vital component for understanding information is to know the foundation of the subject being studied. Knowing the basics of a certain subject will allow the student to move on and grasp more difficult concepts. I also believe in teaching using various forms of teaching ranging from examples, games, graphs, etc. Lastly, repetition is key. I hope to work alongside students who are ready to practice, practice, practice. Only then can we move on to something different.
