Fun Facts
Hi! I am a science enthusiast, musician, and best friend to two awesome cats. My interests include cycling, swimming and art. I also enjoy sharing my passions for music, computer programming, statistics and language-learning!
About Me
I recently graduated with a BA in Liberal Arts after returning to school after a prolonged period working as a live sound engineering and other jobs. This real-world professional experience supported me while exploring what I wanted to achieve by earning my degree and I’m currently working towards a career in public health.
Experience
I have worked in academia as both a digital media specialist and as a research assistant designing a digital archive. I have also gained knowledge of designing and troubleshooting technical systems as an audio engineer. To supplement my education I have worked in both retail and manufacturing jobs, gaining communication skills and work ethic. As a youth, I tutored math to a 5th grader for my Bar Mitzvah project, acquiring a sound appreciation for the lasting benefits of peer education.
Approach
My approach overall is to make learning as fun as it should be drawing parallels to real world applications of what are often highly technical subjects. In my experience, activating a student's curiosity is the best incentive to better learn and understand. When the student feels invested in a subject, homework and studying are actually a lot of fun!
