Fun Facts
I love spending my free time exploring new places! I can spend hours just walking around a new city.
About Me
I am a financial analyst at a consulting firm in Washington D.C. I graduated Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. in Neuroscience as well as a minor in entrepreneurship and management.
Experience
I have over 8 years of tutoring experience. As a high school student, I partnered with my high school and library and offered free tutoring sessions to students of my district. In college I was a peer study-consultant, tutor, and teaching assistant. I have experience tutoring and mentoring students in all subject areas as well as college test preparations and college admissions guidance.
Approach
As a tutor I always come prepared to teach my student. Even though I am an expert in a subject-matter, I will spend at least an hour prepping for my upcoming lessons. I use my prep time to prepare extra resources, questions, or examples.
Regarding my teaching style, I use the Socratic method of teaching. After explaining a subject-matter to my student, I ask them to explain it back to me to ensure they have fully understood the content.
