Fun Facts

One of the most interesting facts about me is that I love to go horseback riding! I haven't picked it up since I moved to Florida, but I'm definitely planning to. I also like to sing. Another fun fact is that I'm interested in closing the achievement gap between students. I also am a BIG volleyball player. I played all through high school and I just love the sport. I like to play tennis too.

About Me

I am a junior Nursing major, Psychology minor at the miami">University of Miami. My hometown is Chicago, IL. When I graduate, I plan on taking a gap year to gain work experience and then getting my Masters in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin. My ultimate career goal is to become a Neonatal or Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. I'm super involved on campus and am currently the Historian for Minority Women in Medicine, a pre-health organization

Experience

I was given the chance to miami">tutor some classmates weekly in Math and English my freshman year of high school. I continued miami">tutoring those same students until we all graduated. My miami">tutoring days were not over, because as soon I started my freshman year of college, I began miami">tutoring small children from a local after school program with an organization called Kids n Culture. Approach

When I was in middle school, my least favorite subject was Math and it was because my teacher didn't really explain what we seemed to be stuck on. She rushed through the examples and left all of us confused. My high school algebra teacher was more patient, and took her time to explain every little thing that troubled us.
