Fun Facts
Most people don't know that I am a former Baltimore County Police cadet and a SERIOUS animal lover! I have two dogs (Pitbulls!) and a Parakeet named Baby. I enjoy true crime, reading, writing and digital art. One day soon I hope to sign up for a kick-boxing class!
About Me
Hello! I am a junior Criminal Justice major at Stevenson University. I am minoring in photography and I am applying to graduate school this fall, for a Masters in Crime Scene Investigation. If accepted, my classes will begin in the spring. My ultimate goal is to initiate local law enforcement reform as a member of the law enforcement community.
Experience
As a member of my High School's Writing Center, I had the opportunity to develop my skills as a tutor. I aided my peers in all levels of writing and reading. Presently, I am a member of ALPHA PHI SIGMA, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society. The goals of APS include promoting academic excellence, community service and educational leadership. Working for Frog Tutoring gives me the opportunity to honor those goals and encourage academic excellence within my own community.
Approach
As a young child, I struggled with math (and still do!).In middle school, I was made to feel inadequate by my teachers.Luckily I had a teacher in high school who recognized every student's ability to learn and utilized different methods to help us all grow. Much like my former math teacher, I am a firm believer that anyone has the ability to learn! As a tutor, I will explore every method at my disposal to not only teach the content but to develop retention and independent study abilities.
