Fun Facts
Striving to make a difference, are words that describe me. I greatly enjoy assisting others with what I greatly enjoy. I am passionate about basketball, reading, and writing. Therefore, it is perfect that I have the opportunity to help others with these tasks as a teacher and coach. I also enjoy all types of music and art. They are perfect to connect to study skills as well. I hope to build my own business over time.
About Me
I am a certified English, Communication, and ESL teacher. I graduated from Hardin-Simmons University. To share a little more about myself, I began volunteer coaching my senior year of high school, in 2008, and consistently stayed active in assisting the community.
I grew up in Garland and I attended Naaman Forest High School and was a part of the 2008 Regional Championship Women’s basketball team. Our team was inducted into the Garland Sports Hall of Fame in September 2014 for the achievement.
Experience
I have experience in presenting, teaching, coaching, mentoring, planning, and and tutoring. I began volunteer coaching my senior year of high school, in 2008, and consistently stayed active in assisting the development of young athletes. As I worked as an English and Reading middle school teacher of the last 4 years, camp counselor at the local Boys and Girls Club in Garland, assisted children with special needs, and coached I gained instruction expertise.
Approach
My coaching and teaching strategies, focuses on improving and inspiring athletes and athletes and students to achieve success by developing their IQ of the topic, build study skill they can do independently, and establish confidence.
