Fun Facts

I am originally from Tennessee and I am a HUGE Vols football fan!!
I can touch my tongue to my nose, bake a cake, and can fix just about anything.
I used to play soccer and rugby until I moved to college.
My dream car is a 1968-1973 Corvette Stingray.
My claim to fame is that I beat Donkey Kong Country on the Super Nintendo in three hours when I was in middle school.
I have walked on the Great Wall of China!!

About Me

I am a senior Business major and Psychology major at queens-university-of-charlotte">Queens University of Charlotte. I am planning on graduating in May and, although I am currently working, I hope to have a job in sales or strategy that utilizes my degree. I am not looking to move out of the Charlotte area so hopefully I can find a job locally!

I am proud to say that I have used charlotte">tutors myself to help me understand confusing concepts and difficult problems. I have taken advantage of the charlotte">tutoring services provided by the Learning Center at my school and I plan on using the techniques of those charlotte">tutors to help other students understand difficult material and school work.

One of my fondest memories is of my mom and me sitting on the couch in our living with a Dick and Jane book. I couldn't read at this point, so my mom took the patience to help me sound out every single word until I could read the entire book by myself. I was not given the answers to difficult problems, but I was pointed in the right direction towards the correct answer so that I could solve the problem myself. This experience, along with my experience at the Learning Center, has showed me that it takes patience, persistance, and an appericiation for a different point of view to charlotte">tutor a child to success. I plan on implementing this approach in my charlotte">tutoring.
