One passion people quickly learn about me is that I LOVE Hot Yoga and Spinning Classes. Any free chance I get, you can find me at one of these classes. Another fun fact about me is that my favorite animal is an Alpaca! If you have never gotten to see one, just think of a fluffy Llama!
About Me
I am a master's student who just graduated with a degree in Education. In my undergrad, I received a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in Business. My ultimate goal is to work within the community to help adolescents with anything from mental health issues to school related issues like time management and study skills.
Experience
As a graduate assistant, working for the miami">University of Miami, I was hired as a learning specialist. Here I got hands on training and experience helping students with and without disabilities, acquire great organizational skills, learning better study skills, and time management skills. I was eager to begin working with college students, as before I had previously worked in a high school and middle school helping students who needed extra support within the classroom.
Approach
In high-school, I struggled with time management and organizational skills. I was fortunate enough to have a teacher take extra time to help me acquire these skills. If it was not for this teacher, I would not have realized my true potential. As a tutor, I attempt to bring this attitude into sessions by empowering my students to become the best versions of their selves. Through this, my goal is to help my students see their true potential and capabilities.
