Fun Facts

People of all ages feel comfortable with me immediately. I have 4 children of my own (ages 18-27) (AND NOW 3 GRANDCHILDREN!), and kept my tutoring skills very sharp on a nightly basis! I was extremely successful in customizing my approach to each member of that crew, so I can certainly do it for any client. Let's put it this way: They would "rehire" me every night, so I must have done something right!

About Me

I have a B.A. in Applied Mathematics (including Statistics) and Economics from The Johns Hopkins University, where I graduated with a 3.96 GPA and earned admission into the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society. I also have an MBA in Finance and Public Policy from The Wharton School, where I earned admission into the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society. I have taken SAT prep courses, with transferable skills to the ACT, GMAT, GRE, ASVAB and other standardized tests. I have been a Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Financial Consultant, and have been in the financial services industry for over 25 years.

Experience

I have logged over 1300 hours as a tutor, and have been working with students for over a decade. I have a 4.9+ rating out of 5 over that time period.

Approach

I customize my approach to each student and his or her situation. I get input from the parents and student, and begin immediately to build a relationship with the student. I gently prod the student to achieve their full potential.
