Fun Facts
I am a fraternal twin who was born on Halloween! I played football in college and continue to be involved in several recreational leagues, including basketball and flag basketball. In my free time, you'll find me cooking, watching basketball or football, or hanging out with friends downtown.
About Me
I am a graduate of Princeton University where I majored in Chemical and Biological Engineering. There, I also minored in Materials Science and Engineering. I am continuing my graduate studies at Cornell University where I intend to get an M.S. in Systems Engineering. I currently work a multi-faceted role in engineering and program management at a major defense contractor.
Experience
I've been involved in tutoring since high school. There, I began tutoring at my former middle school. I remained involved in tutoring throughout college, tutoring students from elementary school through high school. Since graduating, I have stayed involved with tutoring through an online platform and have mainly focused on tutoring mathematics. I am passionate about education and tutoring due to my upbringing and hope to enrich as many students' lives as possible!
Approach
My approach is to get to know my students and then to define my teaching methodology from there. Some students are visual learners, while others are auditory learners. Some students prefer to see an example completed before they "take a stab" at it. Others want to jump right in, even if they don't know exactly what they're doing. I try to understand my student's preferences before committing to teaching methodology. These commits are also flexible as some student's preferences change over time.
