Fun Facts

I have a passion for sports. When I was younger I played every sport that I could try. I started with T-Ball at the young age of 3 and eventually ended on basketball my sophomore year of high school. I love playing sports and coaching sports. I currently help with the middle school volleyball and basketball teams. I love getting to improve a child's skills and nourish their love for the game.

About Me

I am a senior at Texas Woman's University. I am currently seeking a certification in 4-8 English, Language Arts, and Reading. When I graduate I am guaranteed and interview in the Denton Independent School District. I would love to teach and coach in a middle school next year. I hope to attend graduate school to receive my Masters in School Administration. Eventually, I would like to change legislation for teachers in the state of Texas.

Experience

I am currently a substitute teacher with Denton ISD. I have been working in the classroom for about 6 years now. I have the more experience working with elementary and middle school students. I have worked in fine arts classes, core classes, and special needs classes. I enjoy working with students in all level of learning and I am excited to tutor your student.

Approach

As a student, I excelled in school but found it frustrating and boring. I am dyslexic so reading was difficult. I have always had a strong respect for my teachers that were encouraging, challenging, and willing to help. I intend to take those strategies that I have learned in my college courses into my tutoring sessions. I know that a child is more than a test score and I look forward to molding your student into a well-rounded individual.
