Fun Facts
I'm certified as a medical clown! I spent one semester training in the art of medical clowning, and one semester clowning for children and adults in hospitals. I love the philosophy of medical clowning because of how it brings joy into a typically dull and sometimes sad environment. I ran the LA half-marathon for the first time this year and raised money for homelessness while doing so, which is why I intend on participating in the marathon every year.
About Me
I am a senior Chemistry major on the pre-medicine track at the University of Southern California. When I graduate, I intend on spending a gap year being involved in a research lab while also applying to medical schools.
Experience
I was involved in my high school's tutoring program where I had the opportunity to tutor students in a variety of subjects. In college, I've taken upper division chemistry courses as well as engineering level physics courses, and I've also completed college-level writing courses. As a pre-med student, I've already completed all of the courses necessary for applying to medical school, so I feel my academic background has given me a very strong foundation for teaching math and science subjects.
Approach
One of my greatest academic struggles in high school and college was managing my time and determining a method of studying and learning that worked best for me. I intend on helping potential clients learn in a way that is tailored for them so that they can learn the most about the subjects they're passionate about.

Organic Chemistry I Tutoring
I am a senior in college majoring in Chemistry. I have taken AP Chemistry in high school, and in college I have taken general chemistry, organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, physical chemistry, and am currently taking advanced organic chemistry. In organic chemistry I got a B-, but I feel that the upper level classes I have taken following organic chemistry have given me a very strong foundation and familiarity with the subject in order to tutor in it.
Physics I Tutoring
As a Chemistry major, I have taken the engineering level Physics I (Mechanics) which I got a B in and Physics II (Electricity in Magnetism) which I got an A in. I also had to be very familiar with physics while taking physical chemistry last semester, so I feel capable of teaching the subject.
Physics II Tutoring
As a Chemistry major, I have taken the engineering level Physics I (Mechanics) which I got a B in and Physics II (Electricity in Magnetism) which I got an A in. I also had to be very familiar with physics while taking physical chemistry last semester, so I feel capable of teaching the subject.
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I have taken up to Calculus III in college, which I got a B+ in. As a Chemistry major, I've been required to use a lot of high-level math in my classes (particularly in physical chemistry). I also took Pre-Calculus in high school and did well.
Study Skills Tutoring
I am in a competitive major and I am also in the pre-med track, which has required me to manage my time well and develop study habits for each subject that work best for me. I have learned to juggle heavy course loads with extra curricular activities, which has led me to study effectively.
Writing Tutoring
I have taken the Writing 150 (B+) and Writing 340 (A) courses at the University of Southern California, for which I wrote essays on multiple different subjects, some of which were research essays. Last semester, I took a lab course for which I wrote a minimum 10 page lab report once every two weeks, so I am constantly improving my writing skills and have learned how to communicate information and build arguments effectively.
