Fun Facts

I really love chic-fil-a and I recently fulfilled a dream of mine by winning free chic-fil-a for a year. I have seen all the Marvel movies and I re-watched them all in preparation for Endgame. I love basketball and am a die hard Blazer fan. I also love musicals with all my heart.

About Me

I am a senior at Portland State University studying to become a Mechanical Engineer. I have taken so much math and science classes that I dream about it. I also have 4 years of high school Spanish and 2 years of college level Spanish experience. When I graduate I hope to work as a mechanical design engineer.

Experience

I have been informally tutoring since I was in elementary school. As an advanced student I was tasked with helping younger students learn reading comprehension. Since then I have volunteered as a tutor in high school and in college.

Approach

I am a very visual and kinesthetic learner. For me to understand things I need to break them down into smaller, easier to digest pieces. This technique really helps me learn because it enables me to explain complex things in more simple ways. This is my approach to tutoring. I think even the most complicated concepts can be understood by breaking them down and looking at them as parts. I have found this approach works very well in math, science, reading comprehension and language.
