About Me

Hi there! My name is Megan Perez and I have my Bachelors Degree in Social Work and am currently graduate student working to attain my Masters degree in Social Work as well. I have taught as a teacher at the Pre-K level and I have also taught as a teachers aid for 5th and 6th graders with behavioral struggles. I currently work with kids of all age in foster care to try and find families for them at an adoption agency. I am also the mother of 4 wonderful kids. Academia is something I have always excelled at. I look forward to working with you and your child.

Experience

In the past, I worked for a school as a teacher's aid for kids who struggled with different behaviors such as austin, emotional disturbance, and other diagnosi. There, I developed lesson plans and taught these kids their core subjects since their struggles included getting their education in a standard classroom. I have also helped friends on many occasions as personal favors to help them with their assignments.

Approach

As I finish up my Master's degree in Social Work, I realize that this has really given me so much empathy and and patience towards students of all ages. I am currently working at an adoption agency with foster kids and I am able to bring a sense of understanding to them which I also bring to my teaching style. I meet the child where the child is. This is my goal and we work together as a team (tutor, teacher, child and parent) to get them to where they want to be.
