Fun Facts
I was born in Israel, and am half-Albanian. I lived there for about a year before coming to the states. I am absolutely in love with animals-- my dog is my best friend and I miss him at college every day! I am a big fitness junkie, as I just got knee surgery to be able to play college soccer next year (after an injury). My favorite food is sushi, and in my free time I play piano and surf.
About Me
I attend NYU's Leonard N. Stern School of Business. I plan to major in Finance and Economics or Marketing with a minor in either Public Health or The Business of Entertainment and Media Technology. My GPA is currently a 3.6, and my plans after college would ideally involve a job that combines finance with a cause. My dream is to be CNN's next Erin Burnett. I've held many leadership and entrepreneurial positions, including charity work for Albania and Afghanistan as well as captaining my club and high school soccer teams.
My strongest suit is writing, because I have consistent experience in the field and use it every day (including outside of school, where I write for a University Student publications site). My tutoring experience is not only limited to academic classes. Because I have played classical piano since I was 6 years old, I have taught peers and friends of various ages in both academics and music. I have a younger brother who is 13 whom I have helped in all subjects, and assist my peers in college (18 and above) with enjoyment.
My tutoring style is patient, yet direct—my goal is to achieve results in a way that promotes confidence and long-lasting benefits in your student, rather than just teaching them to memorize for the next test. I go step by step until material is thoroughly understood and use creative examples to provide a measure of familiarity to the material. Because I have only selected subjects I am passionate about, you can be sure that I will be positive in nature and passionate about teaching the subject.
