I enjoy people. And I have a passion for making difficult philosophy into highly interesting and understandable philosophy. I also love to teach students how to write philosophy essays.

About Me

I'm finishing my PhD in philosophy at UC Santa Barbara. My dissertation is on free will.

Experience

I have taught six philosophy courses as head instructor. I've taught at UC Santa Barbara, Cal Poly, Westmont College, and Santa Barbara City College.

Approach

I help students philosophy -- and to understand it quickly -- rather than simply telling them what to repeat to sound philosophical. My students over and over say on evaluations that I make very difficult concepts easy to understand.
