About Me

I am completing my last semester of my master's in education/new-mexico/albuquerque">special education and applied behavior analysis at the University of New Mexico. I am working to be a behavior analyst.

Experience

As a student of education/new-mexico/albuquerque">special education, I have had many opportunities to teach a wide variety of learners. I have worked primarily with people with autism, ages 4-20, but I have experience with teaching general education elementary schoolers, preschoolers, as well as adults, from early twenties to elderly, with and without disabilities.

Approach

With my experience in working with diverse learners and studying education/new-mexico/albuquerque">special education, my approach is highly individualized. Students of education/new-mexico/albuquerque">special education are taught strategies for differentiating content so that it is accessible to the unique needs of each student. Furthermore, with my knowledge of applied behavior analysis, I am skilled in applying positive behavior supports in order to motivate the acquisition of, develop, maintain, and generalize new skills.
