Reading has been a passion for quite some time. I began teaching preschool and now my skill set extends to high school. Meeting students where they are is the foundation for development.
I mentor to help with social skills. I enjoy cooking and crafts. Being creative gives me a sense of completion.

About Me

I've been in education since 2005. I was in education/texas/grand-prairie">special education for several years. After which I was in STEM. I've taught kindergarten and first grade, however currently I am a College and Career Readiness Coach and assist with post secondary plans for high school students. I have an abundance of patience and my nurturing characteristic helps me to be stern but caring so that every child is not just comfortable but confident about learning.

Experience

I have worked with children of various ages for over 20 years. I have the patience needed to help any child become successful. I meet children where they are and make learning interesting and fun to keep them engaged.

Approach

My approach would be to see what their strengths are as well as their likes and dislikes so that I am able to ensure success not just for the moment but tools to utilize for a lifetime.
