I enjoy playing volleyball, crocheting, reading, and listening to music. I also love to travel, experience new cultures, and learn new languages. I currently speak Turkish and Spanish, and am learning Arabic.
About Me
I am a freshman at the denver">University of Denver. My current overall GPA is 3.67 and my major GPA is 3.7. I plan to major in International Studies and English, become fluent in Arabic and, hopefully Russian, and pursue a career in the US Federal Government. I would like to work as a Language Analyst or in a similar position.
In the past, I was a member of the National Honor Society and the Spanish Honor Society. I received a 4.3 GPA in high school. My leadership positions include life guarding, and volleyball coaching.
I tutored a high school sophomore in World History for 2 months.
I denver">tutor my younger, middle school aged sister in all subjects.
I have found that it is important to develop a relationship with the student in order to understand his/her needs and determine how to communicate effectively with the student. Second, I believe that asking questions to lead the student to the correct answers on his/ her own is an effective method that encourages learning rather than memorization. Lastly, I think that encouragement and positive feedback motivates students to study and become more independent and enthusiastic about their work.
