I am a great tutor because I am good at what I do. I enjoy watching student learn and grow. I get pleasure from watching the learner start to understand Earth as I explain the concepts they need to comprehend.

About Me

I graduated from Mercy College with distinction, and received a master in science. I then obtained my New York Teaching Certificate. I taught Regents Earth Science and Earth Science for ten years at the Albert Einstein Intermediate School, in the Bronx. I have been tutoring Earth Science for the past four years. I really enjoy working one on one. I enjoy working with young people. I have been successful in teaching students to embrace Science and to understand and question the mysteries of the Earth. I am able to peak their interest, and feel satisfied having achieved my goals and the student’s goals

Experience

I retired from the New York City school system having taught in The Bronx for eight years.
Over the past eight years I have learned a lot about teaching, classroom management, curriculum, and creating lesson plans. There is no substitute for on the job training.
I began my third career as an Earth Science tutor. I have been tutoring for five years. I really enjoy working one on one or in very small groups with the students.

Approach

I understand that teaching Earth Science can be difficult. Just look around and see the Earth Science all around you for millions and millions of years. I enjoy making that connection.
