Fun Facts

My passions are music and languages. I enjoy playing guitar, singing, and writing music. Not only that, I love learning new languages. Freshmen year of college I took two semesters of Elementary Russian 1 and 2, and have also studied Spanish in middle school, high school, and college. Although I am not fluent, I hope to be one day. Also, I went to a Christian missionary school called Youth With a Mission for ten months in which I had the opportunity to travel to South Korea, Kosovo, and Greece.

About Me

I am currently a freshmen at the University of Texas at San Antonio majoring in Bicultural- Bilingual Studies. Although I am only a few credits away from becoming a sophomore, I still have a few more classes until I can dive into my major. When I graduate, I hope to find an English as a Second Language teaching position in the San Antonio area.

Experience

I have had multiple opportunities to teach beginner's guitar lessons and basic music theory to students in the San Antonio area. Although I do not have experience in tutoring other subjects, I believe that I am more than capable in helping students learn material that they are struggling with. Working for Frog Tutoring provides me the opportunity to live out my dream of teaching, tutoring, and giving beginner's music lessons.

Approach

As a student, I understand the difficulty of trying to learn course material in the classroom environment. I always found that when I had one-on-one help from tutors that I was able to ask questions that I felt too scared to ask aloud in class. As a tutor, I attempt to create a non- intimidating environment where questions can be asked while knowing that I won't leave the student behind. I will do my best to help in any way that I can so that the student is knowledgeable in a particular subject.
