Fun Facts
I am passionate about children, adolescents, and young adults. I have three children, which helps me relate to the younger population! I enjoy reading, running, and finding great restaurants throughout Denver!
About Me
I am a therapist for the Office of the District Attorney, 18th Judicial District working with adolescents and families. I have a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology, emphasis in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I graduated from the denver">University of Denver with a 3.94 G.P.A. and I received the Dean's Academic Scholarship from 2012-2014. I have been involved in various research projects, writing submissions to conferences across the United States, and many have been accepted. I plan to apply for my PhD this fall in Counseling Psychology.
I am passionate about helping people create a foundation in Elementary, Middle, and High school to help them excel in higher education.
Experience
I have been a mentor to several denver">University of Denver, Denver Public High School, and Normandale Community College students. Additionally, I have worked with children and adolescents in clinical practice for almost three years and have given my clients many tips to assist with studying and various subjects they have struggled with. I have taught at the high school level a college preparedness class and within my Master's program to my peers.
Approach
I am client centered. I meet the student where they are at and work towards the goals they have created. I am very patient, kind, caring, and create a fun learning environment for students, which helps them to be successful in reaching their goals. I believe that I can make a difference in the lives of students, which is apparent after spending time with me.
