I enjoy snowboarding and writing rap when I have free time. I’m also a huge fan of NBA basketball. I’ve spent summers in China, Russia, India, and Israel.

About Me

If you want to learn the rules and patterns of Spanish and develop the tools that will hugely increase your language learning potential, then I’m the tutor for you!

I grew up in Las Cruces, New Mexico, near the border. I've been married for three and a half years, and my wife and I have a baby boy who was born last December.

Learning foreign languages is exciting to me. I’ve studied Spanish since I was a kid, and I got my bachelors degree in Spanish Language. I’ve always enjoyed teaching others language, and I think I’m pretty good at it.

Right now, I’m also a student myself, pursuing my Master of Theological Studies.

Experience

While studying Chinese, Russian, and Hindi during summer exchange programs overseas, I found myself grasping the language quickly and helping my classmates to excel themselves. Explaining language concepts in an understandable way has always been life-giving to me, and I now have the chance through Frog Tutoring to explain the in's and out's of my most proficient secondary language: Spanish. I began with Frog Tutoring in 2019 and have enjoyed the time spent with each client I've tutored!

Approach

I received a second college degree in Linguistics, so I know how to break down a language into bite-size parts and build from there. Having traveled to Mexico, Guatemala, and Cuba many times, I’ve had the opportunity to become familiar with various types of Spanish. As a native English speaker, I can also understand exactly how to go from understanding English to understanding Spanish.
