Fun Facts

A fun fact of mine would be that I love soccer! I have played soccer for 14 years, and I traveled all over California for tournaments. I had the most fun growing up in sports. I also love to bake. Any time I get a change to whip up a tasty treat, I will take it!

About Me

I am a Freshman in college studying at Grand Canyon University. I am majoring in Biology Pre-medicine, and I am from California. I lived in the northern region of California, and I used to tutor up there. My ultimate goal is to go to Medical School and get my M.D. to become an OB/GYN.

Experience

As a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, I was involved in advanced placement of many of my classes. I was involved in tutoring all through high school, and I was a private tutor for a middle school girl in math. I brought her from a failing grade to a B by the end of the semester. I am excited to meet new students and provide my services to see which strategies will best help them.

Approach

Growing up, I had extreme test anxiety. To help me get over that, I looked into different studying approaches to build my confidence in the materials I was learning. I would get frustrated because my exam scores never reflected my abilities as a student. I slowly learned that I need to approach information differently than it may be presented in the classroom. Now, I apply these strategies to my tutoring, to help students find out how their brains best absorb information.
