About Me

I am completing the prerequisite coursework to apply to dental school in summer 2020. Prior to this, I worked in business banking and finance for 11 years in a variety of roles, including commercial banking underwriting, wealth management, and audit. My motivation for the dramatic career is a genuine interest in the sciences and patient care.

Experience

My experience spans 11 years working in banking, wealth management, and audit. I was recognized by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants as an outstanding senior in accounting studies, and also earned a minor in mathematics. I am fluent in Spanish and have used it extensively in my professional life, including during international audit work. I earned my MBA from Arizona State University in 2018 on full scholarship.

Approach

I try to apply a methodology that emphasizes conceptualization and deep understanding. Pure memorization and "cramming" never worked for me and is not an effective habit to encourage. I try to simplify concepts into digestible segments, and continue my instruction with study methods that reinforce understanding.
