My number one passion is science. I love the subject and love studying it and teaching it. I'm currently a Biology major at FlU and loving it! I'm hispanic and enjoy traveling. I wish to have a future in medicine and travel all around the world.

About Me

I am a Junior in Florida International University. I've been on the Dean's List for 4 semesters on a row! I plan on finishing my Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences to then pursue a job in the medical field. I'm currently tutoring fellow college students in Biology 1 and hope to expand my tutoring experience onto Chemistry. After graduation I hope to attend miami">University of Miami to achieve a Masters in Chemistry or Biological Sciences to then attend Medical School.

Experience

In High School, I was part of the HOSA program which rewards future medical professionals with CMA and CCMA classes and certifications. I currently tutor college students weekly for a Biology 1 class as part of a "Peer Led Team Learning" program. I tutor struggling Biology students and help them learn the most difficult biological processes. I have experience teaching smaller children as well, I was part of a learning program before joining college which tutored elementary children.

Approach

As a child, I found learning to be difficult and got easily discouraged when my classmates improved and I didn't. I had my own tutor until I went to Middle School and I believe that she completely shaped the way I learn and tackle a learning concept. My tutor showed me everything I know now and she taught me the best way to be excited about learning and always face my fears about it head on!
