Fun Facts
I'm a huge animal lover and I'm always interested to learn about other people's pets. I lean toward the cat side, but I've even had a few birds when I was smaller. While other people might find it boring I enjoy sitting down and reading when I have time, but that doesn't stop me from hanging out with my friends often. I can take a joke and enjoy talking about almost anything.
About Me
I am a recent Chemistry major graduate from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia. I also had minors in Math and Environmental Science while staying on the Dean's List most semesters. I was awarded the President's scholarship for all my time there and participated in many clubs, one of which I was treasurer. Right now I'm working to get my license so I can widen my job search range and find something in environmental chemistry.
Experience
I signed up early on to be a biology tutor for the freshman courses for two semesters and later moved on to be a teaching assistant in chemistry. I was also active in my class and frequently helped teach in the study groups we organized. Eventually as I moved up I started to help my juniors with their writing so that they had more understanding on how to clearly express their ideas and I helped some find better problem solving methods for their math classes. Seeing both sides helped me greatly.
Approach
I like to first find out what everyone has been doing already, their success with their methods and their personalities. From my personal experience I think its important that the study methods be tailored to the person and that everyone should have multiple methods instead of one. I like to offer suggestions that are improvements to the study method they already have so they're easier to adopt even if they are simple. I don't give out answers, but I have the patience to teach step by step.
