Fun Facts
There is nothing more fulfilling for me than exploring my imagination for the next art project or creative writing task waiting to be completed. I throughly enjoy writing from screenplays to musicals to informational texts. It's my belief that the arts are where all disciplines connect. I'm the middle child of 5 with two brothers and two sisters. I've never been to the west coast and my favorite food is absolutely pasta.
About Me
Currently, I am on leave before my senior year at The chicago">University of Chicago where I study Public Policy and Theater and Performance Studies! To study Public Policy in simple terms is to prepare for a career in social, economic, and political research and implementation processes. I've been on the deans list each of my years at UCHI and enjoy learning in group settings.
Experience
As a member of my high school Key Club and National Honors Society, I was a Reading Tutor to students at a local elementary. In college, I pursued working with the Neighborhood Schools Program to tutor 5-8 grade students in all subjects. Additionally, I've taught student of my own at the college level in biology as a teaching aid (TA).
Approach
As a child, I excelled in mathematics but found reading to be slightly more difficult. It was during this time that I learned the value of asking for help. It's my belief that all are capable of learning; the biggest hurdle for a student in my opinion, however, is learning how to articulate struggles with particular subject matter. My aid focuses on working through the foundational mis-understanding or confusion regarding material in order to build a stronger functional understanding at large.
