Fun Facts
One passion people quickly learn about me is that I love to swim. I have been a swimmer most of my life and I was a swim coach for 2 years. I am the oldest of three and have never been out of the country. I enjoy singing and was in choir in high school. Someday, soon, I hope to learn how to dance someday as well.
About Me
I am a senior English and Politics and Law Major at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I've been on the Dean's List for 2 years and when I graduate I want to earn my Masters in Public Policy or my law degree. My ultimate goal is become a Lawyer or Bureaucrat in the public sphere specializing in Environmental Law.
Experience
As a member of National Society of Collegiate Scholars, I had the opportunity to teach a patient how to read at the San Antonio State Hospital and work with students at Carnahan Elementary through a program called PACE. I am currently a tutor at the University of Texas at San Antonio for Texas Politics, History, and American Politics. In college, I worked with students ages 18-65 to teach them all aspects of the subjects discussed and working for Frog Tutoring will help me to make an impact.
Approach
As a child, I was horrible at standardized tests. In middle school, I found a way to cope with my anxiety by reading. My love for reading the Percy Jackson Books made me realize that reading could be fun and my teach helped me to realize my true potential. As a tutor, I attempt to help every child find their true potential through positivity and good study habits that will help them beyond the classroom, but in applying these skills to life.
