About Me

I am a first grade teacher at Perkerson Elementary School in Atlanta Ga. I have worked with children from ages 3 to 17 years of age. In college I worked as an in home tutor for a young 3rd grade boy for over a year.

Experience

When working for 1 On 1 Academic tutors I had a chance to tailor my instruction to the needs of the child I was tutoring. Between that and my two years of experience teaching for Atlanta Public schools I feel more than equip to create a routine of practice tutoring that is tailored to the needs of any student I am assigned to.

Approach

Instead of simply giving away answers to students I really like to think of myself as a learning guide for them on their own journey to the answer. I also feel that it is my responsibility not only to teach content but also to teach the homework and study skills that it will take for a student to be successful in all subjects and classes going forward.
