Fun Facts
I love napping, snacking, and of course Netflix. I am probably the most uncoordinated and unathletic person the planet. I’m a good cook and an amazing baker. I have a passion for all dogs on the planet. I also have two ankle bones on each foot! Hate being hot and prefer cold climates. My birthday is Christmas Eve which has always been terrible so I call it birthmas.
About Me
Hello! My name is Hanna. I am a Butler University alum. I have a bachelors in psychology and minored in Neuroscience. I am currently between jobs and trying to keep busy and earn extra cash until I can work again (probably the first of the year). I know that school can be hard and I would love to help your child reach their full potential. My strengths are in English, papers, Science, and of course Psychology. Due to my extensive study in all areas of psychology, I know the best ways that we (humans) learn, and the best methods for memory retention. Math is not my strong point but I can usually be pretty helpful if it is low level such as pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, or basics. I am also available for SAT prep work. I took it about 5 times so I know all the tricks. I got a 1900 (out of 2400), but I know the just changed the scoring around so that may not make any sense but it's a great score! Let me know if I can help! I would be happy to answer any additional questions you may have :)
Experience
As a butler Alumni with a psychology degree I have had a lot of experience with different approaches to learning. It is important to find one that best fits each individual since each person learns and absorbs information differently. I have also taken the SAT 5 times as well as other large exams and know all the tricks to help retain and apply information. I have taken more exams than I eve thought possible through my education and have gotten the techniques down to a science.
Approach
Growing up, I always thought there was something wrong with me. I would study twice as hard as everyone else and do half as well. It wasn't until I was a junior in college studying psychology and abnormalities that I came across ADD. I grew up in a family that always though it wasn't really a true issue.. Once I started learning about ADD that I figured out my issues. one I was diagnosed it changed my life. Each person is different so I try to approach learning with the idea of individuality.
