Fun Facts

I have lived all my life in Texas, in the same little town. I grew up in 4H and FFA showing pigs, chickens, and even rabbits. I love animals and they are my passion, being an only child the animals were some of my best friends. I high school rodeoed, played tennis, and participated on several judging teams.

About Me

I am a senior at Tarleton State University as an Animal Science Major. I plan to graduate in the spring and pursue a Masters in Animal Science, specializing in Animal Nutrition.

Experience

I am currently a tutor for the AVID program at Fort Worth ISD. I tutor from middle school to high school levels. I encourage students to be productive thinkers and strive to better in the classroom and beyond. I have previous tutoring experience with a family that ranged from 7th grade to college level on all subjects, as well as tutoring a family member with learning disabilities. Although I am not an education major, I love teaching others and seeing them grow in their educational careers.

Approach

I believe that a well-rounded person that has a passion for helping others succeed is critical. This person must be patient with high standards that push students to success. Throughout my 4H career, I learned vital leadership skills in how to address a diverse age group and bring them together to achieve the goals set before us. In my college career, I have been involved with leadership groups and teams that encourage and push other students to reach their goals.
