About Me

I go to the redlands">University of Redlands in Redlands, California. I am currently a sophomore studying English and Visual & Media Studies and getting my teaching credentials. I want to be a high school English or Film teacher and then eventually work my ways up to being a professor at a university. After college I would like to have a job in my field, but I also plan to make travelling the world a priority. It is my goal to take a trip every summer when school is out.

While I don't have official tutoring experience, last semester I was a Peer Advisor for the freshman seminar "Magical Realms". I was a liaison between the professor and the students. I made my self available for essay questions and writing help. I frequently proofread the students' essays before they turned them in. I also aided in grading the essays. Aside from that, I helped organize the curriculum and guide day to day discussion.

I believe patience is key when it comes to tutoring. There is nothing worse than trying to receive help from someone who is obviously fed up with helping. I also think keeping tutoring sessions lighthearted is important. Learning can be fun if done with the right attitude. I would bring my best attitude to tutoring sessions every day. Putting a personal touch on tutoring can make the facts and skills all the more easy to learn.
