Fun Facts

I am a huge sports junkie who loves the Lakers, Patriots and Real Madrid. On top of this, I live to travel and have been to 15+ countries across the Middle East and Europe - my next trip will be in SouthEast Asia, as I'm looking to explore Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia.

In my free time, I love to read and be active. I have not explored the hiking scene in D.C. yet but I was an avid explorer in San Diego and have been to nearly every mountain range in the area!

I geek out on philosophy!

About Me

I am a recent graduate from the University of California, San Diego who majored in Political Science with a specialization in International Relations. I relocated to D.C. this past September for two internships; a Fulbright Internship with AMIDEAST and a Regional Director Internship with The Borgen Project. I plan on pursuing a Masters in Public Policy before attending Law School - my career goals are to work in the Near Eastern Affairs Bureau within the State Department.

Experience

I have over eight years of experience as a tutor. Beginning my career tutoring elementary school students as a freshman in high-school, I continued to tutor others throughout my collegiate career.

Approach

As a child, I had a plethora of tutors and always felt I learned the most from the ones I was the most comfortable with and allowed me to fail. I believe making mistakes while learning is the only way to truly gain knowledge, understanding, and mastery of a subject. For kids, making mistakes might be daunting, but it is the tutor's responsibility to guide the student to develop their critical thinking skills by allowing them to solve problems on their own.
