Fun Facts

I love reading and movies. I try to watch one movie a week. I try to read one book a read. I love spending time with my 15 year old son Cameron. We have fun watching football together, especially the 49ers and Broncos.

About Me

I am a science/texas/austin">computer science, economics and history teacher at Goodwill. I help students age 18-52 obtain their diploma. We love learning about micro and macroeconomics, the Bill of Rights and about historical figures such as Richard Nixon. Before Goodwill, I spent six years teaching history and science/texas/austin">computer science to elementary students within Harmony Public Schools.

Experience

Accomplished professional with over fifteen years of experience in education. Knowledgeable on building growth mindset focused curriculum, in-classroom instruction, information technology, test development. Working with Goodwill of Central Texas, Harmony Public Schools and the Round Rock Independent School District has made me extremely effective in instructing and mentoring an ethnically diverse population. To compliment my teaching requirements I served as a volunteer ESL teacher RRISD.

Approach

I am a history and science/texas/austin">computer science nerd who loves all things technology-related. I love exploring curriculum and the endless possibilities within education. All students are capable of learning. They just need patience, compassion and a tutor willing to listen. Some of my best work has been done with ESL and students who suffer from dyslexia and/or ADD. Knowledge is truly power!!
