I am a math nerd, absolutely love math! My favorite maths are algebra and calculus 1. Besides math I love to dance and have been dancing since I was 5 years old. Math and dance consumes my whole life!

About Me

I am an undergraduate student at Morgan State University. I am a sophomore mathematics major with a concentration in teacher certification. I am on the deans list and apart of the honors program at Morgan. I plan to graduate and go back for my masters in teaching to become a high school math teacher. I really enjoy algebra and calculus 1. I am currently a teacher assistant for my previous calculus professor and maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor his students.

Growing up I was always the math genius in the class everyone would come to me for help. In high school my friends’ parents would pay me to maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor their child in math. Then once I got to college I took on a whole new role. I became a Teacher’s Assistant for my calculus professor. As his assistant I sit in his classes and help with small groups for those students who are behind in class, I also hold discussion sessions for his students to come to get help with homework or work on topics that they don’t understand and make tutorial videos to be put online for students to look at when they are home and need clarification. I love maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring students in math and believe that working with Frog maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">Tutoring gives me a greater opportunity to help students.

When maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutoring students you have to remember that each child is different and does not learn the same way. When I maryland/maryland/baltimore">baltimore">tutor I use a variety of techniques to make sure I can grasp each student I am working with. In the beginning I ask for general topics that they have concerns with. From there I ask for their specific problems and I’ll work it out for them step by step and add side notes or rules that they need to know in general. Once they get a good understanding of the topic I give more examples that we work through until eventually I have them solve the problems for me on the board as I sit and watch them go through the steps of solving. Based on their reaction to the problems and how much help and reassurance they ask for I am able to see if they need more work or if they have grasp the
