I love creative writing and own a blog/website and work on strengthening my own company while I'm not tutoring. I have a very bubbly energetic personality and believe that through positive thinking so much can be accomplished in life!

About Me

Hello!!

My name is Laura Brette Sims I graduated with a BA from Loyola Marymount University. I majored in studio arts and minored in communications. I grew up in the Bay Area but have lived in Los Angeles for about 7 years. I am a focused, patient, optimistic, "people person". I have a very strong work ethic!

Growing up I tutored and assisted with after school and homework help programs frequently. My mother was an elementary school teacher throughout my childhood, so I helped as a teaching assistant when I was in middle school, high school, and college.

I’m great at working with children and find fun and creative ways of teaching skills. I am a proficient listener and communicator, which makes me great at helping clients understand various subjects. I like coming up with visual ways for children to digest information and I am a strong believer in interactive learning. I am excellent writer and love to help clients improve writing and reading-comprehension/california/los-angeles">reading comprehension skills. In high school I excelled in both AP art and English.

Above all I believe learning should be fun!
