One of my strongest passions is meeting people of different backgrounds. I feel like there's so much to learn from others! I also love traveling; in fact, I did a semester abroad in Spain where I was able to immerse myself in different cultures.

About Me

I graduated Purdue University as an Industrial Engineer. I made the Dean's list and graduated with a gpa that is .4 above the normal engineering average. I am currently working as an engineer and I am looking to simultaneously get my MBA.

Experience

During high school I had the opportunity to tutor elementary and middle schoolers in math, writing, and English. My love for teaching children grew as I watched my students succeed in subjects they had struggled with prior to our sessions. My passion lead me to travel to The Philippines one summer to teach a class of 30 elementary school children math, theatre arts and English. In college I helped prepare high schoolers for the SATs and ACTs; I taught them valuable study skills.

Approach

Growing up, it was difficult for me to grasp all the information that was given in class lectures. I found that I learned more by going home and teaching the material to myself because I was able to simplify and patiently explain concepts that seemed difficult in class. Once I realized I had this ability, I started helping my friends study and eventually decided to tutor. I want to continue to share my knowledge, tips and study skills that I am certain will help my students succeed.
